The course provides thorough practical and theoretical input to the trainee to make him a craftsman in the area of Tool Manufacturing.

Subject of Study :

Theory

English, Applied Science, Mathematics, Engineering Drawing, Production Technology, Material Technology, Industrial Education, Quality control & Metrology, Tool Design Theory (Press Tools, Moulds, Jigs and Fixtures) Workshop Calculation, Heat Treatment & Surface Treatment.

Practical

Bench work including Advanced Fitting, Machine Work, Training In Inspection, Heat Treatment & Maintenance. Exposure to Auto CAD and CNC.

project work

Production of Press Tool and Mould based projects.

Eligibility :

Pass in SSLC /PUC/12th class or equivalent with minimum 45% marks in Mathematics and 45% in Science of any one of the qualifying examinations. Age Max. 19 years as on 15.07.2009 Height 155 cm(min) and Weight 40 kg (min).

Recognition:

Recognized by Department of Industrial Relations,Central office-Canberra-Australia, under the Tradesmen's Rights Regulation Act 1946. Certificate awarded by NTTF (Eligible for Diploma through Distance Education Programme - DiTD-DEP)
