Scope :

The programme provides Engineering Graduates an advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in the area of tool design to meet the changing demands of the industries, with special reference to press tools and moulds with wide scope for employment in tooling and gauging industries as well as in CAD / CAM / CAE areas.

• * Design press tools for sheet metal components
• * Design moulds for plastic components
• * Design pressure die casting dies
• * Use computers in the design of press tools and moulds
• * Plan process and manufacture of press tools and moulds
• * Design gauges and jigs & fixtures.

Scheme of Study :

Semester - I

3D CAD, Engineering Graphics and GD&T, Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Processes, Plastic Molds, Press Tools, Tool Manufacturing and CAM

Semester - II

Advanced Plastic Molds, Advanced Press Tools, Inspection & Gauging, Jigs & Fixtures, Die Casting Dies

Award of Diploma :

Certificate awarded by NTTF.

Eligibility :

B. E. / B. Tech. in Mechanical / Production / Industrial & Production Engineering / Industrial Engineering & Management / Automobile / Polymer / Aeronautical Engineering / AMIE / IIIE or equivalent. Students awaiting final semester results can also apply. Lady candidates will be given preference. Age no bar.
