·                  Students eligible for this program should be B. E. / B. Tech. in Mechanical / Production / Industrial & Production Engineering / Industrial Engineering & Management / Automobile / Mechatronics / Aeronautical Engineering / Polymer Engineering / AMIE / IIIE or equivalent.

After undergoing this program the students are expected to:

         Familiarize with the process of conceptualizing the vehicle architecture

        Be able to design automobile systems, subsystems and components while working in an organization level environment through design manual procedures

         Understand interface and integration requirements between various sub systems of a vehicle and its impact on vehicle design, translate Regulatory & homologation requirements for vehicle design into Design validation targets

         Be proficient in the application of CAD, CAE and system simulation software, as well as generate software for generation of documentation for operation, maintenance and vehicle management

         To gain ownership in the development process through real time exposure to Sourcing & supply chain development, Vehicle / sub-system / component Design verification & Validation processes

         Understand the prototype build process and design modification and change control process

         Be familiar with the Vehicle Body design, Styling techniques, Vehicle project lifecycle, Change management process and product data tools

         Product structure and modular configuration of design of systems

         To supplement the understanding of theory through hands-on real time involvement in the design & development of a Disaster response Vehicle

         Applying modern and effective management skills in identification and investigation of problems, analysis of data, synthesis and implementation of solutions and operation of facilities related to automobile engineering
